Species Notes: The most striking of all the horned frog species due in large part to its elongated horns. Body colors vary from light and dark shades of green to dark brown and beige. Our Surinams are all captive bred and will feed on just about any of the commercially available feeders. DO NOT BUY WILD CAUGHT SURINAMS. Surinams that are caught in the wild feed primarily on other frogs and will either refuse food altogether or after feeding for several months, will still die from a nutritional deficiency. They are commonly referred to as a Cornuta.
