Species Notes: Juveniles of this species do a complete transfer from a tiny, black, green and brown colored froglet with 3 vertical green stripes to an enormous, overall olive green colored adult. Some males have been reported to have reached a snout-to-vent length (SVL) of 12" and weigh in at 6 lbs. They are commonly referred to as Pyxie frogs.
