Species Notes: Often referred to as the "Holy Grail" amongst Horned Frog enthusiasts, the Brazilian Horned Frog (or aurita as it is commonly referred to) has gained an almost mythological status in the herp world. Little is currently known about this amazing species aside from reports that it is the largest of all the Horned Frog species and can be found in a wide array of patterns and colors. The aurita was bred for the first time in the USA, by "The Frog Ranch's" very own Kim Thomas.
